Earth Day Meditation

earth4In honor of Earth Day let us vibrationally unite around the world in meditation  to demonstrate support for environmental protection. Together we can link our hearts and minds in unison; synchronizing in harmony and balance around the globe to give thanks for everything mother nature has to offer.

Begin in a comfortable seat and start by feeling your body being supported and held by the earth below you. Notice how you are connected to the Earth. Notice if any tension or last minute thought creeps up and simply…let it go.

Gently close your eMeditationyes and leave the thoughts of daily life behind. Begin with a few deep breaths. Inhale deeply through your nose, comfortably filling your lungs, hold your breath at the top for 1, 2, 3 seconds and fully exhale through the nose, bringing your bellybutton toward your spine to help expel all the air from your lungs. In an unbroken cycle, gently Inhale, hold for 3 seconds and completely exhale. Repeat for a few rounds and then release these deep belly breaths and follow your natural rhythm of breathing into your meditation.

As you breathe, begin to see how with each-and-every breath you take, you are, connected in a symbiotic relationship with Mother Earth and all her inhabitants.

Wherever you are, right now, you are, interconnected with others, who, like you; around the globe; are joining in meditation.

Each as individuals among millions.

Millions expressing identical intent.

From the rain forest to the desert; from the mountains, to the rivers and oceans, the cities and the countryside, people everywhere united as one, with a common goal. Protect and care for Earth and all Her inhabitants.

Feel yourself connected to Earth through the ground;

Feel yourself connected to all beings on Earth through the air;

We all breathe the same air;

Humans and animal breathe the air; trees and plants breathe the same air;

Air permeates the soil, and the water;

It circulates the Earth in the wind, in the atmosphere;

With every breath you take, as you breathe in and as you breathe out, you are, connected to all beings on Mother Earth,

Feel that connection, allow it to fill you.

Send those feelings to the rest of the state, the country you live in, the Planet we share. See the flow around the whole earth; bathing the Entire Earth in harmony. We are, united in life, in giving and receiving, under the same Sky.
